AML Compliance Review for NGOs & Non-Profits
For non-profit organisations seeking a compliance review of their identity, governance, financial arrangements and activities. The application should explain the organisation's purpose and the specific reason the review is needed.
Membership and compliance fee: USD 370
Who should use this category?
This category is intended for NGOs and other non-profit entities. Identify the organisation using its registered name and provide the details of the person authorised to coordinate the application. Describe the activities or programmes involved, rather than submitting only a funding reference without context.
A donor request may explain why an NGO is applying, but an award letter alone does not replace the organisation's registration, identity and governance information. If a listed document does not apply to the organisation's legal form, explain this for the review team rather than leaving it unanswered.
What the review considers
The review considers registration, the governing body or trustees, operational purpose and financial arrangements. The team may ask how a programme is managed, who controls its bank account and how the proposed activity relates to the organisation's stated purpose. Further clarification can be needed for cross-border structures or complex funding arrangements.
Documents to prepare
- Completed and signed membership form with identification and a recent photograph
- Registration certificate or other applicable evidence of legal existence
- Details and identification of the responsible directors, trustees or officers
- Proof of the organisation's address
- Bank account confirmation or official account details
- Tax compliance documentation where applicable
- Description of the organisation, programme or funded project
- Grant award letter where the application relates to a grant
Requirements are reviewed against your circumstances. Explain documents that do not apply, and respond to any request for clarification. Submitting an incomplete package can delay assessment.
Application, invoice and review
Start with the online application. After your details are confirmed, INTACRED sends a fillable membership form and a personalised guide. Return the completed form and supporting documents in the email thread.
The team checks completeness before issuing an invoice. Assessment normally takes 24 to 48 working hours after complete documentation and verified payment. Complex structures, cross-border activities or enhanced review may require more time. Payment does not guarantee certification.
What the fee supports
The USD 370 fee supports registration, risk assessment and reporting, and certificate issuance where approved. The invoice gives the itemised breakdown. Refer to the fees page and refund policy before paying. Use only the details in your official invoice.
Questions about non-profit applications
Is a grant reference required for every NGO?
No. A reference is relevant when the stated purpose of the application is a grant or funding requirement. Explain the actual reason for your review in the application.
Does certification release grant funds?
INTACRED reviews the compliance application. Decisions to award or release funds belong to the funding organisation, and payment of INTACRED's fee does not guarantee certification or funding.
INTACRED membership and certification do not replace licences, statutory obligations or a counterparty's own due diligence. If another organisation requested the certificate, confirm its requirements with that organisation.
